A little taste of home... THAI FOOD :)
So.. we have ONE week of school left (Well, at least the intensive part)!!! YAY!!! This weekend has been really good! On Friday we ran to the mall and got pizza for dinner and bought some avocados and tortilla chips so that we would be able to make guacamole on Saturday! Our whole group went to the Durban market and a rugby game on Saturday, but we stayed behind to get some rest. We have already been to the market and don't really want to spend money on little things just because we are in Africa (Hope you all don't mind ;) But, we figured we just got everyone stuff from India and Uganda). And we didn't want to spend money on the rugby game because we really want to save our money and go shark diving and bungee jumping. And mainly, we really wanted to be able to rest because we haven't been able to do that in a while It was really nice to be able to have some alone time away from the group and we were able to fully relax. We woke up on Saturday and did a little homework. Then, we walked to a restaurant down the street from us which was about a 40 minute walk and we ordered a bruschetta and some nachos. It was kind of gloomy out, but everyone was gone for the day so it was impossible to get a ride. We then walked home... in the rain :) Then we got back and watched a movie and then made some guacamole for dinner!! So, overall, Saturday was a really relaxing and fun day!! Today, we woke up and listened to a sermon on the computer. We just hung out most the day and worked on homework since finals are coming up! We have a lot of papers to write and a lot of studying to do! So keep us in your prayers!! After doing homework for a long time, our brains were fried so we decided to go out to eat with some people from our group! We went to this Thai restaurant (which some of you know is mine and Joey's favorite type of food) and it was SOOO good!! We got thai spring rolls and green curry with rice!! We loved every single bite of it and it was so nice to have some food that was familiar to us! We hope that we can go there again and get another good meal because we LOVE curry! :) Basically, we had two super good meals in a row! Anyways, I think that covers everything we did this weekend! Again, if yo have any specific questions, just let us know and we will be happy to answer them for you!! We love and miss everyone from back home!! Hope all is well!!!!
